We review your request and connect you with vetted, local companion care and home care providers who serve your area and fit your needs. The providers then contact you directly to schedule a free consultation.

No. Our matching service is free to families. We are compensated by the providers in our network, so you never pay us anything. You pay only the provider you choose, at the rates you agree to with them.

No. We do not employ caregivers or provide care ourselves. We are a referral and matching service that connects you with independent, licensed home care agencies and placement advisors in the Roanoke Valley and surrounding counties.

Companion care is non-medical support: conversation and companionship, meal preparation, light housekeeping, transportation, errands and medication reminders. Home health care involves skilled medical services such as wound care or physical therapy ordered by a doctor. Many families start with companion care and add personal care as needs change.

Most families hear from a matched provider within one business day. If you tell us care is needed urgently, we flag your request so providers who can start within 24 to 48 hours reach out first.

Providers in our network must hold the licenses Virginia requires for the services they offer, carry liability insurance, run background checks on caregivers and serve the specific communities we refer to them. We also match on the type of care, schedule and budget you tell us about.

Non-medical companion care in the Roanoke Valley typically runs $20 to $30 per hour, and in-home personal care $22 to $35 per hour. Assisted living generally costs $3,500 to $6,000 per month and memory care $4,500 to $8,000. Rates vary by provider, schedule and level of care, which is why we encourage families to compare more than one option.

Traditional Medicare does not cover non-medical companion care. Long-term care insurance, Veterans Aid & Attendance benefits and some Virginia Medicaid waiver programs may help. The providers we match you with can walk you through what applies to your situation.
