Roanoke Companion Care (“we”, “us”) operates roanokecompanioncare.com. We are a referral and matching service that connects families seeking senior care with independent care providers in Roanoke and Southwest Virginia. We do not provide care ourselves.

Information we collect

When you submit a form on this site, we collect the information you provide, which may include your name, phone number, email address, city or ZIP code, the type of care you are seeking, timing, and any notes you add about your loved one's needs. We also record technical information such as the date and time of your submission, your IP address, browser type and the page you submitted from, to help prevent abuse and document consent.

How we use it

• To review your request and identify care providers who serve your area and fit your needs.
• To share your request with one or more matched providers so they can contact you about care.
• To contact you by phone, text message or email about your request, including follow-up to confirm a provider reached you.
• To respond to provider partnership inquiries and general contact messages.
• To operate, secure and improve the site.

Who we share it with

We share family care requests with the care provider or providers we match you with. Those providers are independent businesses and will handle your information under their own privacy practices. We may receive a referral or marketing fee from providers. We do not sell your personal information to data brokers or share it for purposes unrelated to your care request. We use third-party services (for example, our hosting and email delivery providers) to operate the site, and they process data only on our behalf.

Text messages and calls

By checking the consent box on our form you agree that we and matched providers may contact you at the number you provided, including by automated text message. Consent is not a condition of any purchase. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to any text to opt out, or tell the caller you no longer wish to be contacted.

Cookies and analytics

This site does not use advertising cookies. We may use privacy-respecting analytics to understand how the site is used in aggregate.

Retention

We keep care requests for as long as reasonably necessary to fulfill the request, document consent and comply with legal obligations. You may ask us to delete your information at any time.

Children

This site is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
