Senior care placement

Assisted living and memory care placement in Roanoke.

Guidance finding the right assisted living, memory care or senior living community in the Roanoke Valley, at no cost to your family. We connect you with experienced local placement advisors.

Finding the right community

One of the biggest decisions a family makes.

Dozens of communities, different levels of care, confusing pricing. Placement advisors simplify the whole process with personalized recommendations and hands-on support, and because communities compensate them, families pay nothing.

What exactly does Roanoke Companion Care do?

We are a free matching service for families in Roanoke and Southwest Virginia. You tell us what kind of help your loved one needs, where they live and when care should start. We review your request and connect you with vetted, local companion care and home care providers who serve your area and fit your needs. The providers then contact you directly to schedule a free consultation.

Is there a cost to families?

No. Our matching service is free to families. We are compensated by the providers in our network, so you never pay us anything. You pay only the provider you choose, at the rates you agree to with them.

Are you a home care agency?

No. We do not employ caregivers or provide care ourselves. We are a referral and matching service that connects you with independent, licensed home care agencies and placement advisors in the Roanoke Valley and surrounding counties.

What is companion care, and how is it different from home health care?

Companion care is non-medical support: conversation and companionship, meal preparation, light housekeeping, transportation, errands and medication reminders. Home health care involves skilled medical services such as wound care or physical therapy ordered by a doctor. Many families start with companion care and add personal care as needs change.
